INFO AND TIPS

Information and tips on how to use the Vuumex Vacuum Food Container Set, store and extend the life of your food.

What to Store?

The Vuumex container can vacuum store a wide variety of foods, extending their life and freshness.

Suitable for:

  • cooked and raw meat
  • meals
  • most fruits and vegetables, nuts, coffee, pasta and more
  1. Exceptions:
  • Raw cruciferous vegatables such as broccoli. These can emit gases when stored. They should be blanched before vacuum sealing.
  • Raw onions or garlic. It's best to blanch before vacuum sealing.
  • Apples, bananas. These give off natural gasses and can speed up spoilage
  • Soft cheeses

How to Vacuum Seal

  1. Place the pump over the air valve.
  2. Gently push the pump down to create a seal with the container.
  3. Press the power button.
  4. Release the power button and let the pump continue. It will automatically stop once the correct vacuum pressure is acheived.
  5. Remove the pump. You may feel slight resitance due to the suction.
  6. Set the date dial and store the container as needed. Note: refrigeration is still required for foods that genarlly require refrigeration.

TIPS:

  • To maintain a secure seal, ensure the valve is clean and free from food residue.
  • Avoid filling the container in a way that might touch the air valve as this can hinder air removal or sealing.
  • To easily remove lid, lift the air valve to equalize the pressure.
